SAR Sponsors Research Conference

The Society for Acupuncture Research (SAR) is sponsoring its 2010 research conference Translational Research In Acupuncture: Bridging Science, Practice & Community.

The primary goal of translational research is to speed the application of basic and clinical research findings to patient care. The conference will explore some of these strategies. It will be held March 19-21, 2010, at the Sheraton Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC.

Sponsors include: the Complementary and Integrative Medicine Program at the Mayo Clinic; the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture; and the North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Institutional Affiliates include: UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation;  Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Program for Complementary and Integrative Medicine; and the Integrative Health Center of Chapel Hill.
